You will find Monte Terras in the quiet village of Tronadora de Tilaran, at Lake Arenal. There is a supermarket, restaurant and an internet café.
Tilaran is a bigger town where you will find several banks, restaurants and shops as well as a bus station from where buses depart daily to San José, Cañas, Fortuna and Monteverde.

*In Tilaran you take a sharp left turn at the Total gas station. At the Y-section with a busstop in the middle you go straight on. The road goes down toward the lake. From here it’s 5 km to Tronadora. Take a left turn before the tiny park, it’s a dirtroad. After 300 meters you’ll find a sign “Monte Terra”. Turn left and drive up the hill. |
