Monte Terras Costa Rica is located in the quiet and small village of Tronadora, at Lake Arenal. Tronadora has a supermarket, bakery, butcher shop, and a small restaurant. Tilaran is the closest town where you will find several banks, restaurants, and shops as well as a bus station with daily connections to and from San José, Cañas, La Fortuna, Liberia and Monteverde.
Address: 400 meter east and 50 meter north of the college of Tronadora, Tilaran, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
Driving Directions
Take the Pan American Highway (1) to Cañas. In Cañas turn towards Tilaran, at the Plaza del Toros. At the T-section turn left. When you reach Tilaran you take a sharp left turn at the Total gas station. At the Y-section – with a bus stop in the middle – you go straight. The road winds down towards the lake. From here it’s 5 km to Tronadora. At Tronadora you will see a small park where it says “Bienvenidos a Tronadora”- turn left just before this park, on to a dirt road. After about 300 yards you’ll see our “Monte Terras” sign. Turn left and drive up the second driveway.
